What we send, and to whom
When you click "Check my brand", the brand name, optional website, and optional category text you typed are sent from your browser to our server (a Cloudflare Pages Function), which forwards that same text to OpenRouter to query AI models on your behalf. OpenRouter and the underlying model providers process that text to generate a response. We do not send your IP address, browser identifiers, or any other personal data to OpenRouter or the model providers — only the brand/website/category text you typed.
What we store
We cache the result of a brand check (the text you submitted plus the AI models' responses) for 24 hours, keyed by the normalized brand name, so repeat checks of the same brand don't re-query the models. We also keep two anonymous daily counters — how many checks came from your connection today, and how many total checks happened across all visitors today — used only to stay inside our AI-query budget. Your IP address is one-way hashed before being used as part of that counter's key; we do not store your raw IP address, and the hash is not reversible back to your IP.
Accounts, cookies, tracking
There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for. This site does not set any cookies. We send anonymous, aggregate usage events (e.g. "a check was completed", "a share button was clicked") to our own server so we can see whether the tool is useful — these events do not include your brand text, IP address, or any identifier tied to you, and there is currently no third-party analytics provider receiving them.
Sale of data
We do not sell any data, ever.
Affiliate links
The "what to do about it" section on the results page links to third-party AI-visibility tools. Some of those links may become affiliate links in the future, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. Clicking one takes you to that vendor's own site, which has its own separate privacy policy.
